Held annually near the Taj Mahal, the Taj Mahotsav is a ten-day festival celebrating India’s rich artistic and cultural traditions. The event features handicrafts, textiles, sculptures, and paintings, bringing together artisans nationwide. Visitors can explore various traditional crafts, including Banarasi silk, Madhubani paintings, Zardozi embroidery, and wood carvings from Saharanpur. Folk musicians and dancers perform throughout the festival, showcasing cultural traditions from different Indian states. The festival also offers a gastronomic experience, with food stalls serving delicacies such as Agra’s famous petha, Mughlai kebabs, and chaat. The Mahotsav provides an opportunity to witness the grandeur of India’s heritage, set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most iconic monuments.
