The Indian Railways is gearing up to introduce the Vande Bharat Metro, offering a faster route between New Delhi and Agra. Scheduled for a trial run in July, this new train is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities to 1.5 hours. The Vande Bharat Metro will connect New Delhi to Agra at 160 kmph. Unlike the current Vande Bharat trains passing via Agra, this new route will link the two cities directly. Agra will receive Vande Bharat Metros, connecting it to Prayagraj and other key cities in Uttar Pradesh. The 16-coach Vande Bharat Metro will compete with the New Delhi Intercity Express and underwent successful trials on the Palwal-Vrindavan route, showcasing its efficiency and speed.
