Located 90 kilometres from Udaipur, Phulwari Ki Nal Wildlife Sanctuary has launched the Bear Conservation-Eco Tourism Project to establish a new conservation reserve within the sanctuary. A wildlife census in 2022 found approximately 40 bears in the sanctuary. Phulwari Ki Nal, situated near the Polo Forest in Gujarat, attracts bears from Gujarat due to its proximity. The project will dedicate 50 hectares to planting food for bears and creating water holes. Watch towers will also be erected so tourists can observe the forest, while bears and their breeding will be monitored.
