Ladakh is all set to welcome travelers with a breathtaking burst of color as the Apricot Blossom Festival 2025 kicks off from April 11 to May 4. Organized by the Department of Tourism, Ladakh, this annual springtime celebration aims to promote sustainable tourism while showcasing the region’s cultural and ecological treasures.
Timed to coincide with the full bloom of Ladakh’s iconic apricot trees, the festival will be celebrated across several villages in Leh and Kargil. Picturesque locations such as Skurbuchan, Alchi, Saspol, and Sumoor will host cultural performances, local craft exhibitions, and traditional cuisine stalls, offering an immersive experience for visitors.
One of the festival highlights is the finale in Tar village, recently honored as the Best Tourism Village under the Responsible Tourism category by the Ministry of Tourism. The event is designed not just as a visual spectacle but also as a platform for local artisans, farmers, and performers to share their heritage.
The Apricot Blossom Festival, introduced in 2023, has quickly become a springtime favorite, capturing the hearts of nature lovers and culture seekers alike. This year promises even more beauty, tradition, and unforgettable memories set against Ladakh’s enchanting landscapes.
