Starting September 28, IndiGo, India’s largest airline, will introduce direct flights from Prayagraj to Hyderabad three times a week. This new service aims to ease travel for Maha Kumbh visitors. Currently, travelers must transit via Varanasi or Lucknow to reach Hyderabad. The same aircraft will also operate a Prayagraj-Bengaluru route, flying daily except on the Hyderabad service days. The Hyderabad flight will depart Prayagraj at 11:20 am, arriving at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 1:30 pm. The return flight will leave Hyderabad at 8:40 am, reaching Prayagraj at 10:55 am. IndiGo will use an Airbus with 180 seats for these routes. Preparations are underway to enhance connectivity to other cities, including Indore. Night operations at Prayagraj have been approved, further boosting its connectivity ahead of the Maha Kumbh.
