Pilgrims and adventure seekers now have an exciting new way to visit the sacred Himalayan shrines of Adi Kailash and Om Parvat, as direct helicopter services from Delhi have been launched. This initiative is set to reduce travel time and make the pilgrimage more convenient, especially for those unable to endure the challenging trek.
The heli-darshan service aims to boost spiritual tourism in Uttarakhand, offering a faster and more comfortable alternative to the traditional road and trekking routes. Pilgrims can now experience the breathtaking beauty of the snow-clad peaks and serene landscapes of these revered Hindu sites with ease.
Operated by Pawan Hans, the service includes direct flights from Delhi to Pithoragarh, followed by a short helicopter ride to the pilgrimage sites. This initiative is expected to attract more devotees and nature lovers while enhancing tourism infrastructure in the region.
Officials believe this move will increase footfall to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat, which are often considered as alternatives to the Mount Kailash pilgrimage in Tibet. With this new aerial route, devotees can now embark on a spiritually enriching and time-saving journey to the divine Himalayan abodes.
