Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport has achieved a significant milestone, becoming one of Asia’s premier aviation hubs by offering direct connectivity to 150 destinations. Operated by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), IGI now connects to 103 international and 47 domestic locations, reinforcing its status as India’s busiest airport.

This milestone highlights India’s growing prominence in global aviation, supported by expanding infrastructure and increasing air travel demand. IGI Airport, which handles over 69 million passengers annually, caters to travelers with a wide range of options, from major global cities like New York and London to emerging destinations such as Kigali and Tashkent.

The achievement is expected to boost tourism and trade significantly. Enhanced connectivity makes India more accessible to international visitors while opening new travel opportunities for Indians. For businesses, the expanded network provides improved access to global markets. To meet growing demand, IGI is focusing on capacity expansion, including the addition of a fourth runway and Terminal 1 upgrades. With a goal of accommodating over 100 million passengers annually by 2030, the airport is also committed to sustainability through green initiatives.

Delhi Airport’s new milestone marks a proud moment for Indian aviation, reflecting the nation’s growing global influence.
