Tata-owned Air India has begun a daily non-stop flight between Bengaluru and London Heathrow, connecting all three of its India hubs to the UK’s busiest airport. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, featuring 18 flatbeds in Business Class and 238 Economy seats, will enhance Air India’s weekly capacity to Heathrow by 3,584 seats. Air India already operates 31 weekly flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Heathrow and 12 weekly flights to London Gatwick. Additionally, following its merger with Vistara, the airline will adopt the ‘AI2’ code for Vistara-operated flights, maintaining the Vistara experience.
