Air India has introduced its flagship A350-900 for daily non-stop flights between Delhi and New York’s JFK, with additional flights to Newark’s Liberty International Airport launching five times a week from January 2, 2025.
The A350 features Air India’s first private suites in Business Class, a dedicated Premium Economy cabin, and enhanced inflight services, aligning with its Vihaan.AI transformation. Passengers enjoy a state-of-the-art inflight entertainment system, upgraded catering, and new serviceware. Additionally, Air India will soon enable inflight Wi-Fi on A350 international routes, enhancing connectivity on long-haul flights.
This expansion is a core part of Air India’s revitalization following its privatization, as CEO Campbell Wilson noted. The A350 began service on the Delhi-London route and has received positive feedback, signaling a commitment to raising service standards across its fleet. Alongside this expansion, Air India plans a full interior refit of existing aircraft and has hundreds of new planes on order, ensuring a continued elevation of the brand’s global standing.
This fleet enhancement not only symbolizes Air India’s post-privatization aspirations but also sets a new standard in luxury travel on India-USA routes, elevating the onboard experience for all passengers.
