Air India Express is set to enhance regional connectivity with the launch of direct flights between Kolkata and Hindon (Ghaziabad), starting March 1, 2025. This marks the first commercial air link between Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) and Hindon Airport (GHD), located near Delhi, offering travelers an alternative to Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI).
The bi-weekly service will operate on Fridays and Sundays, catering to passengers seeking convenient access to the Delhi-NCR region, especially Ghaziabad, Noida, and Meerut. The flight schedule is as follows:
• Flight IX 1768 will depart Kolkata at 7:10 AM and arrive in Hindon at 9:50 AM.
• Flight IX 1767 will take off from Hindon at 10:25 AM, reaching Kolkata at 1:00 PM.
Operated by Boeing 737 aircraft, the service is expected to provide a seamless travel experience while easing congestion at IGI Airport. Hindon Airport, primarily used for regional flights, will benefit from this new connection, boosting accessibility for business and leisure travelers.
With this launch, Air India Express strengthens its network, aligning with India’s UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) initiative to enhance regional air connectivity.
