Air India Express has expanded its domestic network by adding Agartala as its 46th destination, the airline announced on Sunday. The low-cost carrier has introduced new direct flights from Agartala to Guwahati and Kolkata, with daily services starting from the same day.
In addition to the Agartala routes, Air India Express has also launched new flight services connecting other key cities. These include flights from Hyderabad to Guwahati, Bengaluru to Vijayawada, and Bengaluru to Indore. These routes are aimed at enhancing connectivity across India, offering passengers more options for travel.
With the inclusion of Agartala, Air India Express now operates a total of 14 weekly flights from the city. The airline provides daily direct flights to Guwahati and Kolkata, along with one-stop connections to a range of other destinations. Passengers flying from Agartala can now access Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, and Kochi with just one stop.
The new additions are part of Air India Express’s strategy to strengthen its domestic network and offer more convenient travel options to passengers. By expanding its reach to Agartala and increasing the frequency of flights on existing routes, the airline aims to cater to the growing demand for domestic air travel in India.
This expansion is expected to boost regional connectivity, stimulate economic activity, and provide better access to various parts of the country, aligning with the airline’s goal to become a key player in India’s aviation sector.
