Air India Expands International Network for Northern Summer 2025

February 17, 2025

Air India has unveiled an ambitious expansion of its international flight network for the upcoming northern summer season, commencing March 26, 2025. The airline plans to introduce 20 additional weekly flights to key destinations across the United States and Europe, enhancing connectivity and offering more travel options to passengers.

In the United States, Air India will add daily flights from Mumbai to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and San Francisco International Airport. Additionally, a thrice-weekly service from Bengaluru to San Francisco will be launched, catering to the growing demand from India’s tech hub. These new routes aim to strengthen ties between India and the U.S., facilitating business and leisure travel.

European destinations are also set to benefit from Air India’s expansion. The airline will introduce four weekly flights from Delhi to London Gatwick Airport, complementing its existing services to London Heathrow. Furthermore, thrice-weekly flights from Delhi to Vienna and Copenhagen will commence, marking Air India’s return to these cities after a hiatus.

This strategic expansion aligns with Air India’s vision to become a major global player in the aviation industry. By increasing flight frequencies and adding new destinations, the airline aims to meet the rising demand for international travel and provide seamless connectivity for its passengers.

Bookings for the new flights are now open, with inaugural services scheduled for late March 2025. Travelers can look forward to enhanced in-flight experiences, as Air India continues to upgrade its fleet and onboard services to meet global standards.
