April 8, 2025

Accor, a global hospitality leader, has expanded its presence in India with the launch of Mercure Lucknow Gomti Nagar, a 109-room hotel that reflects the rich Awadhi heritage of Uttar Pradesh’s capital. Thoughtfully designed, the hotel pays tribute to the city’s cultural legacy while offering modern comforts, providing guests with a truly immersive experience.

Garth Simmons, Chief Operating Officer for Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy Division in Asia, emphasized the strategic significance of this expansion, noting that travellers today are seeking more meaningful experiences beyond typical tourist destinations. He stated that cities like Lucknow are increasingly capturing attention, and Accor aims to meet this demand by expanding across high-potential locations in Asia.

Amit Kapoor, General Manager of the hotel, added that Mercure Lucknow Gomti Nagar offers a harmonious blend of contemporary convenience and local character. It serves as a modern base for exploration while fostering authentic connections with the destination.

The hotel offers a rich culinary journey through its three signature dining experiences: SENSES, the all-day restaurant serving both regional and international cuisines; LEVEL 7, a rooftop bar with panoramic views and creative cocktails; and Citrique, a stylish lobby lounge ideal for relaxed gatherings.

With two versatile banquet halls, a meeting room, and dedicated event planning services, the hotel also caters to business and social events. This launch is part of Accor’s ambitious plan to open 30 new hotels in India over the next three to five years.
