IndiGo Strengthens Regional Connectivity with New Ahmedabad-Guwahati-Dimapur Flights

December 11, 2024

IndiGo, India’s leading low-cost carrier, has launched four new daily direct flights, further enhancing connectivity across the country. The newly introduced routes will connect Ahmedabad, Guwahati, and Dimapur, facilitating seamless travel for business and leisure passengers.

This expansion underscores IndiGo’s commitment to fostering regional integration and making air travel more accessible. Dimapur, a vibrant gateway to Nagaland, is now directly connected to Ahmedabad via Guwahati, significantly reducing travel time and boosting tourism and trade in the region.

The flights have been strategically scheduled to cater to diverse passenger needs. Morning departures from Ahmedabad ensure timely arrival in Guwahati and onward connections to Dimapur. Similarly, return flights are designed for convenient evening arrivals, making the route ideal for same-day travelers and transit passengers.

IndiGo’s Chief Commercial Officer expressed excitement about the new services, emphasizing the airline’s dedication to connecting underserved destinations and supporting India’s regional development goals. The airline currently operates one of the largest domestic networks in India, with a focus on efficiency, punctuality, and affordability.

These new flights are expected to boost tourism in the Northeast, encourage economic growth, and create new opportunities for business collaboration across regions, reaffirming IndiGo’s position as a catalyst for India’s aviation growth.
