October 4, 2024

PM Modi flagged off the Agra-Varanasi Vande Bharat on September 15. The Agra-Varanasi Vande Bharat train will cover 573 km in seven hours, with stops at Agra Cantt, Tundla Junction, Etawah, Kanpur, and Prayagraj. Departing Agra at 6 AM, it arrives in Varanasi at 1 PM. The return journey leaves Varanasi at 3:20 PM, reaching Agra at 10:20 PM. This schedule operates six days a week, excluding Fridays. In another significant development, the Vande Bharat Express will soon link Sawai Madhopur to Agra and Udaipur, making it easier for travellers to plan a seamless journey from the Taj Mahal to the picturesque Lake City. The country’s first ‘Vande Metro’ service between Bhuj and Ahmedabad has also been announced. The Vande Bharat trains will operate on routes such as Kolhapur-Pune and Nagpur-Secunderabad, with the first 20-coach train running between Varanasi and Delhi. The Ahmedabad-Bhuj service will cover 360 kilometers in 5 hours and 45 minutes, stopping at nine stations along the way.
