Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport will resume operations on August 17, enhancing travel experiences with a state-of-the-art facility. According to DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, this reopening will alleviate congestion at Terminals 2 and 3. The terminal, part of the Phase 3A expansion, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 10. SpiceJet and IndiGo will relocate major operations to Terminal 1, with SpiceJet moving 12 flights and IndiGo 34. SpiceJet passengers will use Gate A on the ground floor, while IndiGo passengers will enter through Gates 5 and 6 on the first floor. Innovations include Queue-Buster mobile check-in, Individual Carrier System (ICS), and Automated Tray Retrieval System (ATRS). Note: The section closed due to the June canopy collapse will remain shut.
